Cesium 137 - Regrets

Generally,
I find remixes to be an excellent way to explore a song's full potential.
Cesium 137 offered up their track Regrets, and sadly to say, the tracks
sent back really don't do the original the justice you
would hope.
Despite having mixes by Haujobb and Yendri, this EP just seems it would have done better with more multimedia toys(a video of 'Regrets' is included on the CD) then the remixes it includes.
Most disappointing was the Yendri remix. It seemed more like a chance to play with a new software plugin, than a decent attempt at remixing. The Haujobb mix on the other hand, is kind of interesting. It goes into a bit of a tranced-out minimalist dance track, saying more with the slight synth swells than a steady vocal track.
Overall, Cesium 137 definitely
have something good going with Regrets, but it's sad that they released
it with some rather substandard
remixes. Hopefully the next single will get more consideration in it's
remixing.
